A Green Roof Inspired by Color

An image of colorful scarves blowing in the wind forms the inspiration for this design Layers of folding of fabric create interweaving patterns of overlaying pigment and saturation.  The plant list for this green roof was carefully selected using a mix of grasses and perennials that will withstand the harsh conditions associated with rooftop environments.  The color palette is based off of a 1929 watercolor by Paul Klee titled Monument on the Border of the Fertile Country.
